I purchased the Tackform MS100-TAB to mount to a cymbal boom using the Girbraltar Shockmount Mic Adapter for cymbal stands to hold my tablet while drumming. The entire setup is sturdy. I particularly like the fact the Tackform does not take excessive effort to expand the clips to insert / remove the device. Likewise, it is not putting excessive pressure on the device (with cover) while holding it. I used the small and medium legs for my 10 3/16" x 7 1/8" tablet (with Pelican case). The combination of the boom and ball mount on the MS100-TAB allow for an infinite amount of adjustment and placement of the tablet.
I looked at similar mounts and felt this had the best price / build. I don't recall seeing it in use with a drum kit, but the positive reviews left me with little doubt it would provide the flexibility to place the table where I wanted within the drum kit.
The postal service stopped reporting progress on my shipment so I contacted Tackform. They investigated and said if no progress was reported the next day I should contact them. Much to my surprise Tackform proactively contacted me the next day to let me know USPS posted an update. I have to say that is going above and beyond and was totally unexpected.
Mic Stand Tablet Holder
I am an active performing solo musician. I run my sound system from my iPad as well as have hundreds of songs/lyrics, etc. in front of me. I'm tired of fighting iPad docks that attach to the same mic stand my mic is on. So yes this means having a second mic stand but this iPad dock makes my set up and iPad placement quicker, more versatile, and just easier. I played over 100 gigs last year which for a 72 year old guitar picker, easier setup and tear down is king. I'm gonna buy a second one as a spare because the cost is reasonable and I'm sure at some point I will drop it, step on it, kick it, or somehow find a way to break it. Thanks Trackform.

Have received this device holder and am highly impressed right out of the box. To have so many options for which device and size is truly amazing. Easy setup. I was questioning how one holder could hold so many difference devices, and was really worried once I added a case to my iPad. My fears were quickly put at ease once I attached the iPad and tested it on the mic stand. Wow! What a great, secure hold. the depth of the holder legs is far beyond that if any other holder in the market, making this versatile and safe for our expensive devices! Bravo! I am impressed. Thank you for a fine product. I am looking forward to a long, successful use with this holder.
