Device Compatibility: This will hold it all. The tablet cradle will accommodate most tablets. The cradle accommodates tablets with screen sizes between 7" and 18.4".
If your simply measure length and width vs screen size, this will accommodate tablets between 6.25" and 11.5" wide/tall. This mount is the perfect iPad truck mount. Mounting Versatility: Between the drill base and the cradle is our modular arm with aluminum 20mm ball and socket connections creating a full range of motion in addition to the locking elbow joint in between them. I got this mount for my ELD in my truck. I'm running an ipad mini. The backing plate is a MUST HAVE. I've had several of the plastic, over-priced, cup holder arms that you can find in the truck stops and all of them vibrated and wiggled. Not to mention losing a cup holder in the process. Not this one, it's as I said in the title...ROCK SOLID...no wiggles, no shimmy, no breaking, and most importantly- no dropping the ipad on the floor. There is a knurled ball joint mounted to your preferred spot on the dash, mine is as you see in the pics, and a matching knurled ball...they are identical and interchangeable...on the back of the cradle connected by 2- 3.5" arms with a joint in the middle. There are 3 points of adjustment and 7 inches of reach in this kit so you can get your device wherever you want or need it to be. The cradle assembly itself comes with three different sizes of tabs so it will hold any tablet with tender loving care while you're blasting down the highway. The bottom is spring loaded. It's (surprisingly) not as heavy as you might think. Yes, the cradle itself is plastic, so we'll see how it holds up over time. Their order to fulfillment speed is extraordinary. If they say two days, they mean it. You simply can't go wrong with this kit. Plus...it looks good too. Now if I could just find a 1 foot cable, I could clean up that hot mess wrapped around the shaft. LOL. Get it. You won't be disappointed.

I just installed my Tackform and so far looks like it will hold on good.
As you know by FMCSA you need to have your eld mounted to your truck and this tool look like a very handy tool for that purpose. It's the law!!

I ordered this mount because trying to type on my lap was not working. I work in rural Montana on some pretty rough roads. There is minimal movement of my ipad in this mount. Pretty impressed so far. My maps, documents, and everything else I need on my ipad is securely held in a convenient location.

I ordered this holder to mount on the 80-20 extruded aluminum of my recent 2023 RAM ProMaster van conversion. When traveling with my van I often use my iPad to watch movies I have downloaded. I needed a way to have something to hold my iPad while I was laying in bed. The builder of my van, Alumivan, suggested that I could mount/attach almost anything to the extruded aluminum than makes up the framing of the van buildout. Your product worked perfectly and was easy to attach to this framing. It is solidly built - metal vs plastic - and is very stable. It adjusts to almost any position I want and stores easily under the cabinet while I am driving.

I love this product. I installed it the other day, and it was super easy. I was a bit worried it wasn't gonna hold up very well, but once you lock it into place, it doesn't budge at all. Thank yall for making such a great product.

I received my tablet holder it was easy to assemble with lots of options for different sizes, I've been using it for about a week completely satisfied with performance.

What can I say. This company has it figured out. I had some questions about what mount I should purchase for my 2019 Silverado. Their website didn’t list the Silverado as a compatible truck so I contacted them through their contact form. Erica got back to me in less than 12 hours and was extremely friendly and helpful. We got to a point that she wasn’t sure how to answer some of my question so she put me in direct contact with Nick. I spoke with Nick on several occasions and after some back and forth and photo swaps of different positions we could use, he recommended the mount and even included some heavy duty double sided tape to help keep it secure.
The mount arrived within 2 days and installation was exactly as Nick had described. I used the tape, drilled the self tappers in the dash and it was done! I put my 12.9in iPad Pro in the mount and headed down the street for a test run. This thing is rock solid! Only movement is from the truck itself, it holds its position perfectly. I used a pair of pliers to tighten each joint and it’s done.

This is my second mount purchased form Tackform. There is none better. It is not only sturdy but very flexible in the size of the device being held. This same mount will hold either a cell phone or tablet and do it well!

All I can saw is wow the quality for the value is unreal! This is a great mount, I mounted in my 2020 can am defender to accept a 10” tablet for navigating and it work great extremely sturdy! Will definitely be a returning customer, I have had numerous ram mounts and no complaints except for the price the tackform mount feels more heavy duty in my opinion at a better price and it’s one package, you don’t have to piece it together.

OK I was skeptical about this product, however given the price...a bit more than I wanted to pay, I wanted something that worked though. So I got this. Installed easy, set it, popped in my 10" tablet landscape mode. Now the reason for 4 stars, it would be 4.5 but the test drive I did in my truck, the tablet did some tilting and some drooping so the socket and ball don't REALLY lock into place per say, if they had teeth then they would. Most likely a small piece of sandpaper would do the trick on the ball. That said I used a pair of needle nose pliers with tape on the jaws to give the lock nuts an extra twist, they didn't break LOL. I went and did the same test drive it held up just fine. Tomorrow will be the test I have to drive 8 hours over some rough roads....IF there is no update to this review, then it went well. I would recommend.

Bought this with a backing plate for a Polaris RZR. Mounted it to the dash. Required a little drilling of course but, I am very pleased. Very sturdy and grips the tablet firmly.

What is the difference between the mount and a backing plate. It’s confusing. What do I need to properly install it in my truck without the charger?
Hi Marius - If you're installing in the truck, get this version with the backing plate. This goes behind the dashboard. Some people just screw into the dash using self tapping screws but that's not recommended.
