AMPS Holder | 17mm Ball Receiver

I am a truck driver and have a SiriusXM Tour that I use in my F150 as well as in my work truck. I got a 17mm ball mount for my Garmin Dezl GPS that I really like, and thought would be great for holding my SiriusXM radio as well. I had problems finding a compatible female mount for it though. Saw this product in a Google search, and realized that this was the answer to my problem.

I use my wife's car often and on occasion I need to use both a car GPS along with a GPS for Geocaching. She doesn't like suction cup adapters (makes a mess on the windshield). To accommodate her wishes & my need for using both devices, I designed a bracket that, along with a third party CD mount, the 17mm to AMPS adapter and a mount designed by the GPS manufacturer, I am able to have both devices accessible, visible and more importantly, legal as my view out the windshield. My only real knock on the adapter is I wish it were made of some sort of metal, not plastic/composite, thus the 4 star rating. Time will tell if it will stand up under normal usage.

It is working good I don’t have it in my vehicle I put it on the desk top mount I bought that has a clamp base I still haven’t decided where I am going to put it I will be buying more stuff from yall still deciding what will be next

This unit paired perfectly with a 17mm ball mount on my dash. This also allowed me to mount a radio mic clip to this plate. so far this is working great and the best mic clip set up I've found for my application.
