This setup works very well in my 2023 Ford F150 XLT (mid package) The mount fit well and was easy to install. I utilized the double sided tape and then the screws. I did not use the bolts that could be installed for extra strength.

The wireless charger and arm mounted up perfectly and puts my phone in a position where it is not a distraction but reachable should I need it. I run an app that allows me to monitor specific systems in my truck while driving so the position is important to me. Additionally, the position also puts the phone in front of the AC vent which keeps it cool. This is important because my screen is always on when I’m running the vehicle monitoring app.

The wireless charging feature is great in this truck because my CarPlay is wireless. If your vehicle doesn’t have wireless CarPlay or android auto, you may want to select the basic mount.

The only negative I have experienced is that the little buttons that need to be pushed to release the phone from the cradle rattle; a lot. It’s not incredibly loud and is unnoticeable when the radio is turned up a bit or the windows are down. But, on a recent family road trip, we left at 1:00 am and as my family slept, I had the radio off and the windows up…. This is when I really noticed the rattle.

The other thing to be aware of is that the portion of the dash where this system mounts is flimsy. I added my Garmin GPS to the mount and then my wife’s phone near the passenger side. Because my wife was using a different company’s holder with a long and heavy arm, it caused the whole setup to bounce a little. Once I removed her mount, everything was fine. I will be ordering another Tackform mount in the near future to replace her setup. Again, this is not an issue with the mount; just the flimsy ford dash piece. I had a similar tackform setup in my 2012 F250 and i think I could have mounted whatever I wanted to it without issue.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with the quality of the products.

As good as it gets in my opinion, worth the extra money! Assembly was actually enjoyable, great packaging design, very solid components, and clear instructions. Only downside is I have a (small) iPhone 13 Mini and the auto closing phone holder arm presses the volume button down when it closes. I'm assuming its meant for bigger phones, but All I had to do was shim the bottom and it works fine.

If you don’t buy this phone mount you will be doing yourself a disservice. It’s amazing. Don’t listen to me just try it for yourself
