Super Clamp | Extra Long Arm | Spring Loaded Tablet Cradle | Heavy Duty

I'm a musician with double vision. I have MS and play bari sax. Dixieland and Latin bands. I had a stand made for me when I could hold it anymore. Then I went to using my iPad for scores. But putting the iPad on a mic or music stand was too many pieces of equipment on a tight stage. The TFEN-MC03-TAB 20 Series works great. Holds the iPad, just out of the line of the bari.

Purchased this recently for use as iPad holder on the job site—my use case is unusual, I'm a mural painter and wanted to have a way to mount an iPad for easy reference of my artwork when plotting big walls that require a lift to access. The arm itself is bomber: all-metal, sturdy, and mostly rock solid when in use. The mega clamp is awesome. Wish I'd purchased this two weeks ago.

Couple things that could be improved:
1) I love that the ball joints are metal. However, it would be nice if there was a mild textured surface to help prevent slippage—Inserting or removing my iPad, causes the arm to shift even when tightened.
2) The weakest part of this system is the cradle. I don't care if it's "high impact auto grade" plastic, it's still plastic. I don't care that the ball connector is metal, it's screwing into metal threads on the back side of the cradle that are embedded in plastic. The most important part of the system, which holds my $2000 tablet is made of plastic. Plastic degrades and breaks. Springs weaken over time. Sooner or later, this cradle will fail and potentially send my iPad crashing to the ground.

Here's the rub, this cradle is an aftermarket plastic part that has been branded with Tackform's logo—You can find the exact same plastic cradle included with a half dozen other similar iPad holder arms on Amazon. How do I know? I ordered a cheap arm (promptly returned) to compare and sure enough, it's the same cradle. I don't care about the spring loading feature. I don't need a locking mechanism. I want a guaranteed-never-to-fail cradle I can trust to hold my super-expensive iPad. The arm itself seems bomb-proof, so should be the cradle. I'd happily pay more for a simple metal cradle for use with the 20mm ball, just like I was happy pay twice as much for an all-metal arm with an all-metal mega clamp.

Just received this and assembled it. Very solid and well made. I got it to attach to my drum rack and it works perfectly. I am using a 14" Acer convertible laptop in the cradle in a portrait orientation and it just fits. Pleasantly surprised... expectations exceeded!

My gps is awful so I use an iPad. This is how I’m using it in my Armada. I also added an extender to it.

This is the best tablet holder on the market for musicians, especially drummers. I’m using the mount to monitor levels on my iPad while I’m tracking (playing and recording) drums.

This works so good to hold my wife’s iPad, which we use when we’re going down the road in our motor home. We like to use the iPad as a backup gps. The problem we had was the wife didn’t like holding it all the time, while also holding our little Yorkie Poo. We we’re at a campground and did a search for anything to help with this problem. Tackform came through. I ordered it and Tom at Tackform got right on it and got it shipped right out because we we’re only going to be here for 5 more days. Ordered it on Monday and received it at our campground Wednesday. Sunday we hit the road again only this time my wife will only have to hold our little fur baby.
I highly recommend this to anyone who needs there tablet or iPad or phone, to be secure while driving down the road. This is a well built, rugged holder.

I was looking for a product to securely mount a tablet to a gaming chair. I almost gave up hope when I stumbled across this product from Tackform. I was instantly blown away by the craftsmanship. I contacted their customer service team for some information as to how to purchase additional arm links to extend the length and they replied very quickly with the help I needed. Even after adding three additional arm links, the entire unit is extremely solid. No swaying, bending, or wonkiness. I tried two other comparable solutions and neither came close to Tackform's product! Buy with confidence!

Stiff. Once the joints and clamp are tightened, the iPad is going not going anywhere. Even if you add a few extensions as I did. This holder is very well made. You will not be disappointed.

I am a college visual arts teacher and am teaching online this semester. I needed a strong and versatile clamp for my iPad Pro and had some cheap version that made it difficult to produce the video recording and streaming... this Mount is perfect... no movement, variable positions are easy, I could purchase an extension if needed. My iPad is safe and secure allowing me to focus on teaching. Thank you for making such a great product!

I use it when I have my MS Surface Pro hooked to the hub / connected to a 2nd monitor and desktop keyboard and mouse. this stand holds the tablet at a better height for the camera and firmly enough that I can use the stylus on the screen without wobble or unintentionally changing the position.

however this design does trade speed of adjustability for versatility and stability.

I didn't expect to spend a lot on an IPad mount for my bike trainer. But looking at the other options, I'm glad I went with this one. It's well worth the price. It's very easy to attach and remove with the tightening mechanisms. I was worried that it wouldn't be straight since my handles bars aren't completely horizontal, but the two ball barring joints make it easy to straighten my device. The parts are solid metal and tighten securely. What makes this really unique is the amount of height this offers since bike handle bars are low. Great build, easy to attach/detach securely, and good height make this an all around solid product. I can't recommend this enough.

The Cirrus is the most popular single engine plane in production, and there are no good mounts available, until now. I fastened this to the seat adjustment bar where it bends on the right side. It runs up along the seat and over my right leg without touching or damaging the molding by the throttle quadrant. It is in the perfect spot for righting with your right arm rested on the armrest. It is very stable in flight and works better than anything I have tried. May not work if you have larger legs, but hopefully Tackform will make a version with the center arm about an inch longer. ;)
