This was a straightforward install watching the videos for reference. The rail fits like Toyota made it. Incredible precision and flawless "factory" fit.
The two steel supports each have two sticky panels that attach to two matching angular places inside the bezel, and then bolt to the rail. On mine, the angular places inside the bezel were at a different angle than the steel supports, resulting in a gap. Fortunately the sticky tape is a foam type so it helps conform to the slight differences where to two surfaces meet and it lessens the gap.
After all screws were tightened and everything in place, I noticed that the ball part of the Assault Track Ball mounts were loose, and when I tried to clamp my phone they would turn on their base. So I unmounted them and put each one in my bench vise and tightened the cap screw super tight and no more movement, and I can mount and unmount my phone with one hand. It would be great if they came tightened from the factory.
The Assault system is absolutely rock solid in every regard. This is an over-engineered piece of gear that'll outlast the truck. No shake, no wobble, no phone dropping off. Once the phone is clamped into the 20Lite phone holder, it ain't going anywhere.
